Did You Know...?

*  The sign in front of the school is incorrect?  Grizzly Pines was founded on November 13th (the sign says November 14th) of 1997. 

*  That is the same exact day the Grizzly Pines webmaster and her husband were married!

*  Grizzly Pines is the 1st school in our district to test the Promethean ActivbBoard?

*  By statistics, Grizzly Pines consistently has more boys enrolled than girls, usually more than twice as many.

*  Children who where in the first kindergarten class at Grizzly Pines are in their junior year of high school this year.

But where is...?

Marc Honeycutt?  Marc Honeycutt was the beloved bus driver for Grizzly Pines since its beginning in 1997.  Marc retired when the 2006-2007 school year ended and we miss him very  much.

Beverly Bodtker?  Our sweet Beverly was our support staff and retired at the end of the 2007-2008 school year.  She is missed tremendously by the kids, parents and staff. 

Tanis Haboush?  Our usual 3-5 grade teacher is taking time off to be at home with her son Ethaniel, who was diagnosed with leukemia in October 2007.  Ethaniel has been going through extensive medical treatments for his condition and is doing well.  He is anticipated to continue to having treatments until sometime in 2010.  Tanis is expected to return for the 2009-2010 school year.  Tanis also has a younger son, Aiden, who was born in 2006.  Kathy Kaher, our current 3-5 teacher, was the substitute teacher for Tanis' class when she was out on maternity leave with Aiden.
